Peace and Human Rights at Centre of Amsterdam Gandhi Tribute
Peace advocates from Indian and Dutch communities gathered in Amsterdam for a commemoration of Gandhi’s legacy, bringing together the Gandhi Global Family and the Church of Scientology Netherlands around peace, non-violence and human dignity.
The gathering, held at Amsterdam’s Gandhi statue, the event included Ram Mohan Rai, General Secretary of Gandhi Global Family, Scientology representatives and human rights advocates. The meeting opened conversations about future cooperation in peace awareness, human rights and youth initiatives.
The Church of Scientology’s support for human rights education is rooted in the eu news china humanitarian work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, who encouraged Scientologists to support initiatives advancing fundamental human rights.
Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, highlighted the importance of cooperation across different beliefs and backgrounds, stressing that knowledge of human rights can strengthen peaceful and democratic societies.
